God has big plans for us
A New Year has begun and as we recover from our Christmas celebrations, I want to take the time to thank each and every one of you for your presence and prayers during 2025. It was quite a year, one that I will not soon forget. God is faithful and true and provided direction for us to follow in the New Year.
God has big plans for us, and I am so excited to see what those plans are moving forward. The
importance of community is essential for a well-rounded life. Community can happen in many and various ways. Sports teams, 4H, dancing, baton twirling, school, and our occupations are just some of the ways that we can experience community. This might be a little self-serving, but I think there is no finer way to experience community than by attending church regularly. To fulfill Gods desire for us we must have all of you! Whether old or young, rich or poor, we need all of you.
Our busyness can lead us away from church, I realize this fact, but the richness and completion of our lives truly happens when we worship, pray, and learn together. There is no greater example that we can set for our kids than to bring them to church. We all know that the nature of church is changing. We cannot afford to any longer think of "church" as just a Sunday morning event. Church has to grow and become an integral part of our lives. I feel this as my call, to help us find together how "church" can be part of all of our lives.
So, to that end I and the leadership of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church need to hear from all of you. Let's talk about this. We need everyone's ideas. In the coming weeks you will be hearing about some planning sessions, as we together discern where God through the Holy Spirit is leading us.
Please pray for this effort and be open to speaking up to either myself or a member of church council.
Together with Jesus Christ we can make the world a better place. I am so proud to be your pastor.
Peace,
Pastor Bob
